Faculty of Musical Arts

        Faculty of Musical Art at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts has highly professional teaching staff who continue the traditions of European-type interpretive and compositional schools that have existed for   almost a century in Moldova and ensures the training of specialists in all domains of musical art.
 Historical landmarks in the development of professional musical education in Chișinău:
 • 1880 The Association of Music Amateurs Armonia with music classes for instruction of all who wish
 • 1899 Chișinău branch of the Imperial Russian Music Society and the music school operating under its auspices
 • 1893 The music school led by V. Gutor
 • 1918 The Unirea Conservatory
 • 1925 The National Conservatory
 • 1936 The Municipal Conservatory

• 1990 The G. Musicescu Music Academy
• 1999 The State University of the Arts

Our graduates contribute to the development and enrichment of both national musical culture and the musical culture of other countries, actively working in the USA, Spain, Australia, Germany, Romania, Russia, Portugal, Croatia, Italy, Canada, and others. Among them are world-renowned musicians such as O. Maisenberg, A. Palei, M. Muler, A. Ognivtov, M. Bieșu, S. Strezeva, S. Covalenco, Y. Voldman, A. Pastuh, M. Zeltzer, and others.
Our graduates are members of the symphony and chamber orchestras in Moldova and abroad, actively performing with groups such as:
