Council for Institutional Strategic Development

      The Council for Institutional Strategic Development (CDSI) operates in accordance with the Education Code of the Republic of Moldova No. 152 of July 17, 2014, Article 104. To competently and efficiently address strategic issues in institutional development, CDSI is composed of professors, economists, lawyers, and highly qualified managers. The Council for Institutional Strategic Development has the following competences and duties:

• coordinates the development of the Institutional Strategic Development Plan, which includes the institution’s vision, mission, development strategy, and the main actions for a period of at least 5 years, and presents it to the Senate for approval;
• monitors and evaluates the efficiency of the use of financial resources and presents to the Senate for approval the institution’s budget draft;
• approves the standard study contract and the amount of tuition fees;
• ensures institutional management regarding intellectual property rights and technology transfer;
• makes decisions, with the favorable opinion of the Senate, regarding:

1. the development and consolidation of the institution’s assets, with at least 2/3 of member votes;
2. the initiation and closure of study programs, with at least 2/3 of member votes;
3. the salary and incentive methodology for staff;
4. entrepreneurship activities, public-private partnerships, and cooperation with the business environment;
5. participation in consortia and merger with other higher education institutions;
6. organizes and conducts elections for the position of rector in accordance with the institution’s regulations governing the organization and conduct of elections.

      Members of the Council for Institutional Strategic Development bear responsibility for the decisions made, in accordance with the applicable law.
